Knowing your bottleneck is useful. Fixing it requires a short, measurable plan.

The common mistake is trying to improve Marketing, Sales, Operations, Hiring, and Finance at the same time. That creates activity everywhere and accountability nowhere.

Use a 30-day bottleneck sprint instead.

Step 1: Choose one constraint

Select the category where improvement would create the biggest effect on revenue, capacity, or customer experience. Do not choose the easiest project. Choose the one that unlocks other progress.

Step 2: Define one result

Replace a vague goal such as “improve sales” with a measurable result such as “contact every new lead within five minutes” or “reduce open estimates older than seven days by half.”

Step 3: Assign one owner

One person should own the number, the weekly update, and the next action. Other people may help, but shared ownership usually becomes no ownership.

Step 4: Review weekly

Every Friday, answer three questions:

• What changed in the number?
• What blocked progress?
• What will we change next week?

At the end of 30 days, keep the new process if it worked, adjust it if the result improved slowly, or choose a different constraint if the original diagnosis was wrong.
